We just returned from our one week cruise. Embarking and disembarking was a breeze. They have it mastered. The ship was absolutely stunning, not a thing on it that wasn't classy and beautiful. This was my 12th cruise and my husband's second. So many silly complaints about the stairs/elevators. We sorted it out in minutes. Not a big deal at all and god fobid we had to walk a few extra steps. I KNOW I needed it! LOL The service and the entertantinment were both great. Seemed to be a variety of things happening. The majority of the folks on board were over 65 I'd say. Us not being in that group (younger). It was fine though. Food was very good as usual and the international coffee options (extra $) and vines wine bar were favs of ours. Unfortunately we didn't get the chance to try the Crown Grill or Sabatinis as they were fully booked for the week very early on so if it's something you want, do it early! . Obviously people don't mind paying the extra $ for dinner! My only minor complaint would be the crowded sun decks on sea days. For that reason I wouldn't choose an itinerary again that had so many sea days. I found we were packed tight like sardines and real estate was a premium. Inside it never felt crowded anywhere nor did we have any issues with big lineups at any time .I didn't care for the huge movie screen playing movies (all day?? really? why??) but that's just me. I'm not a tv gal. I could see the benefit for some I guess, I just found it odd to have a movie on outside on a beautiful sunny day that we had to hear. Just a personal pet peeve. Would I sail on this ship again? Yes definetely. Just fewer sea days!

Cabin Review

Deluxe Balcony

Cabin D4

We were in cabin M727, (Marina deck 15) very back of the ship overlooking the wake. Some complaints I've read about the soot. That seemed to be there, but not always and cedertainly not an issue. Might depend on winds? Not a big deal either way. Our balcony was HUGE, almost as big as the room. lol That being said the cabins are tight on this ship. It's adeaquately furnished, has everything you may need, small sofa and table and desk but very tight. Tough to pass one another at foot of the bed and we're not big folks! Bathrooms were small but very efficient. Closet space and shelving easily accessed and plenty. Overall, we were happy with our room and our cabin steward Romeo was a gem! Make sure you tip these people well. I don't now when they sleep! he was always around doing something and our two minor requests to him were dealt with promptly!.
