First time with Norwegian,(twenty cruises plus with other lines) the itinerary was excellent. Unfortunately the food in the main restaurants was mediocre and over salted, the buffet food was much better, but we prefer not to have to wander with food seeking a table. Quite a number of staff seemed to lack experience and direction. Tepphanny in O'Sheehans and Whitney in Summer Palace were the exception.
The climbing wall was fenced off and the water slide had been removed. Our state room cleaning was adequate, but the other members of our family had someone's shoes left behind under the bed(obviously never been cleared) and someone else's hand luggage in the state room and the safe was locked, when they first joined the room. Security were called and would not attend and the matter was dealt with badly with general disinterest and apathy. During the cruise some laundry was never found and returned, and the guest services told us to claim on our own insurance. The Ultimate Drinks package , purchased by other family members in another state room, was poorly administered, with some wines which should have been available throughout only available by the bottle in some bars, Both families complained on board and in a further email letter once back, no one from Norwegian has had the good manners to reply. So never again Norwegian!
