My husband and I just returned from a Caribbean Cruise on the Celebrity Eclipse. We truly love cruising and Celebrity is our favorite cruise line. This particular cruise was however one of the top cruises out of our 24 cruises. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. While most cruise line employees on Celebrity cruises are typically very good, this staff was outstanding. We enjoyed the food at the buffet, so many choices, the diningroom, specialty restaurants and room service all excellent. Our S1 cabin was spacious and very clean. Our butler Kanika and cabin attendent Karen were the best. We loved the Martini Bar and the staff including Egar and Sasha. Even the photographers were friendly and very professional.

The entertainment was just fair to okay, except for the excellent performers Perry Grant and Clare Vinkelstein, they were the best. Loved the adult pool area but didn't appreciate the canned "new wave" whinning music. Celebrity I beg you please discontinue playing this horrible music in this venue. as it isn't restful and relaxing. Also horrible canned music at the Martini bar. The live music, though limited around the ship was very good.

We love the Reflection and Silhoutte layouts as they are our two favorite Solstice class ships. Perhaps it is because we love the Lawn Grill and Porch on those two vessels. We did miss them on the Eclipse. The Eclipse as well as some of the other Solstice class ships have the Corning glass show. We have previously seen the Corning glass show on other solstice ships, and once is truly enough. While the glass blowers are talented, at the show, you must sit for two hours on benches in the heat, so not something to see more then on once cruise, especially if you are over 50 or have a bad back. Perhaps time to remove and try something else like the Lawn Grill and porch or another venue. Read more
