On January 4, we sailed from Los Angeles on a cross Panama Canal Cruise. We had three previous cruises on NCL and were looking forward to experiencing a similar level of service. Although the service was mostly good, it was not at the level that we had experience on previous NCL cruises for the following reasons;
1. Market Buffet - the food selection was repetitive and the quality was inconsistent, often barely warm enough to consume.
2. Market Buffet - there was an inconsistent level of service by the buffet service. At some sittings, one passed through with refills for coffee and juices. At other sittings, there were not any offers for refills.
The cabin was at least 36 square feet smaller than similar balcony staterooms on the NCL Dawn. Otherwise, it was comfortable and had a pass through door to the adjoining stateroom occupied by our traveling companions. Because of the reduced square footage, our door opened completely while our companions did not as the room appeared to be about 6 inches shorter than ours.
