First cruise, and if this is anything to go by, it'll be our last. Travelled with family, who are 'seasoned' cruisers, and we were all equally dismayed. I could go on and on but basically there's simply not enough staff. The staff that were on shift were not happy, you could see their morale was low and there was something definately going on behind the scenes.

Meal times were a farce. Queuing for every meal, even the upper deck breakfast buffet and the cleanliness of the restaurants was very poor. Dirty table cloths most nights. Had to wait 45 to 50 mins betwen courses some nights. The bars weren't much better. Average wait for a drink was 10-15 minutes and on New years eve it was a calamity with one waitress serving 200 people in one entertainment lounge. The cabin were kept clean by hard working staff, but they are very dated. Thomsons only seemd to care about selling packages and tours (funnily enough there were plenty of staff around for these tasks!!) and not for actually serving the people who had paid top price.

A few plus points, the kids club was great for our little one (6 years) and the evening entertainment team did very well.

Cabin Review

very dated. Well cleaned and any problem we had was solved quickly. 3 of us in the cabin. Plenty of storage though. Safe was 15 GBP per week I think.
