I have taken 5 cruises in the last 6 years, and this was the first time on Royal Caribbean (the rest were Carnival). This was not a "step up" from Carnival as many might believe. I do not plan to cruise Royal Caribbean again.

Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived early at about 10:30 or 11:00 and had no trouble getting on board.

Before we left port, my aunt wanted to purchase the fountain soda package. With this came a nice Coca-Cola souvenir cup, but they were out of them at the time and said one would be delivered to her room that night. It never came, and she ended up having to ask several bartenders about it. One of them even said, why does it matter, it's just a cup? Eventually my dad was able to find someone who got her the cup. The fountain soda did not even taste like coke, so I would never purchase this plan. It was more like a generic soda taste.

Large Interior Stateroom

Cabin K

Our stateroom was in a good location (corner room right below the spa). It was nice to be able to go up the little staircase right up to deck 9 instead of having to walk all the way down the hall and back. There was more space in the room than we have had in the past. There is no mini-fridge, no robes, and only soap in the bathroom. We were not allowed to the rooms until 1:00 pm, and even then they didn't let us go until 1:20. We got to the room and our door was open. The steward said he still needed to "sanitize" it, so we put our carry on bags in the closet and then left. The luggage arrived later in the evening, and then we found the previous cruiser's medication in one of the drawers as we unpacked. The steward said he thought it was ours when we returned it to him.
