Let me start out by saying we make the best out of any situation. It's a vacation and we are going to enjoy it! So, we did have a good time but things could have been better. First of all, there was a sewage stench on the ship. It was noticeable near the stairs and it was especially bad on the Lido deck. The food in the main dining room was just ok. Food was bland and the lobster was over cooked. It really felt like a heat and serve dinner. We were on the Magic two summers ago and the food was much better. However, we loved Guy's Burgers and the Blue Iguana burritos for lunch.

The staff didn't seem to enthused to be there. The weren't rude but they didn't go out of their way to make us happy. Bar tenders didn't want to talk, room service people were not friendly and besides the first day, we never saw our house keeping guy. We ordered room service for breakfast every morning and on one morning, it got there an hour early! We were still asleep. I told him he was an hour early and he didn't seem to care. He just looked at the slip of paper with the time written on it and just waited for his tip. Again, they weren't rude, they just looked like they didn't want to be there. I'm assuming it's becasue it was Christmas and they would rather be with their family.

Does Carnival always do the same things for entertainment on all of their ships? Hairy chest contest, mixology contest, synchronized swimming? The jokes were the same ("plastic ship on a stick"). It was all the same as on the Magic. Even the ice sculpture was the same. It was a "been there done that" feeling the entire time.
