I booked this Fiji and New Zealand 14 night cruise after cruising previously with Royal Caribbean on Voyager of the Seas the year before with my husband and 2 kids. The reason we booked this cruise again was because we were under the impression that it had undergone a 80 million dollar refurbishment. After getting onto the ship we were very disappointed to see that it looked exactly the same as before the refurbishment, the only change was the new staterooms which they added on deck 12 which meant that the ship was way overcrowded and the flow rider pool at the back of the ship. Other than that the ship looked exactly the same as I remember it to be the year before. The ship was very overcrowded on this cruise and the staff were all overworked, complaining and tired. service was quite bad compared to the year before which I am guessing is due to the extra 800 people on board because of the new staterooms built, The buffet was always so busy that finding an available table took at least 15 minutes, the food at the buffet was very repetitive and became boring, dining food was ok as usual but service was slow and staff were too busy to be able to attend to most people, room attendant was ok but seemed like he was fishing for extra tips all the time which was annoying. The main pool deck area has not changed and looks exactly the same, most of the time we were unable to also find available pool deck chairs which was extremely annoying, sometimes we had to all share one deck chair. Coffee was crap and as usual and the range of drinks was very limited and there were always long lines to order and it generally took at least 10 - 15 mins to be served, we honestly felt after getting on the cruise like we were lied to about the refurbishment, nothing at all has been changed to the ship other than all the extra people which seems like the ship is unable to cope with. the gym really needs refurbishment and many machines were always out of order. Everywhere we went we had to wait, the amount of people on the ship was just unbearable and way over crowded which at most times was unpleasant. I would not recommend cruising on the voyager of the seas at all, after doing 2 cruises and both on voyager of the seas I am truly disappointed and must admit the ship was not what we expected.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Very disappointing for the money we paid, rooms were not at all refurbished and looked exactly the same as previous cruise. Room attendant was as I said before always fishing for tips and was not the greatest. Room was quite small considering a junior suite and balcony was not very clean. overall I would was average.
