This is a typical "cruise ship village". Convenient, safe, and some control over the vendors. In that we did the ruins on our last two visits (recommended), we decided to just stay in the village this time. We had an enjoyable time shopping and then having lunch at Senior Frog's.

Costa Maya

On previous visits, we did cave tubing and ruins; enjoyed both very much. This time we just did the "port" area. A real disappointment. Crowded, unorganized with limited options. Any time in the future, we will only get off at Belize if we have a booked excursion.

Belize City

We were first in Cozumel 35 years ago. Although the island has changed through the years, many of the changes are improvements. on previous trips, we have rented motor bikes and have visited beaches. Both are highly recommended. On our last two visits, we just meandered through the "cruise village" and then had lunch at Pancho's Backyard. We recommend Pancho's. Good value, good service, good food and a very entertaining duo on Mexican xylophones. A very fun experience.

Cozumel

We opted for a mini-suite. We enjoy the slightly larger space, the shower/tub and a few extra amenities. Our balcony was not covered; although we would have preferred a covered balcony for weather/sun issues, it was not a problem for us this sailing.

Dining:
The food in the dining room was about as good as we have seen on any previous sailing.Overall:
The dining, staff, public rooms and our room were all Very Good.
