This was my second cruise and I thought it was a great bargain and a wonderful ship. We booked last minute (3 days before departure) and received the Ultimate Beverage Package as an incentive. This was REALLY worth the money.

The ship is a little worn, but VERY well maintained and clean. We stayed in an aft balcony and LOVED it. I thought that the crew was extremely helpful, goodnatured, and approachable. We ate in the Tsar's Palace one night and I thought the meal was only slightly better than the buffet, however the dining room was ornate and pleasant. Dinner was better at Azura and I liked the mood there too. I think I prefer the more formal dining options that do not exist with Freestyle dining, but the food was good and the service was great. The onboard activities were fun, and we enjoyed the white hot party! The nightlife was fun and there was plenty of dancing in the Spinnaker Lounge. There weren't any organized places for formal dancing (ballroom, salsa, etc.) and I missed this.

My mother brought her walker along and the halls seemed a little narrow to easily accommodate her. Several other people brought their Go-Go's and did just fine.

Cabin Review

Cabin Aft Balcony

Loved the room! Watching the world go by from the aft of the ship was comfortable and pleasant. The rooms were well organized and we didn't feel cramped. The balcony felt private and the engine noise was typical but not annoying. There was plenty of storage space to put away 7 days of stuff. There was a coffee pot and blowdryer in the room, so if you like coffee I recommend you bring along 2 cup packets from home. I hated the coffee - in the room, in the Java bar, at the buffet. Our steward, Putu, was pleasant and helpful. We didn't have many demands, however our room was always immaculate, and he is one of the crew who performs at the towel folding demonstration. We always had a cute creature greeting us as we stumbled into our room after dancing.
