10 day cruise to Puerto Rico, St Thomas, Tortola (cancelled) and St. Maarten. Room 11649 inside aft. While the room was clean and well kept I could not understand 90% of what our cabin steward was saying when he spoke. ( poor english). Cruising out if NY is an experience in its own with the city and sights I loved leaving out of this port. We purchased round trip transfers from the airport to port from NCL. Well worth the the $80 round trip pp and very efficient. We came in hours early and there was a representative to meet passengers ( as promised) at baggage. ( She was holding up a NCL sign). Same as disembarkation.
Check in was quick and orderly. Have cruised with Norwegian in the past so we were aware how Norwegian embarks etc. The ship itself was pristine but service personnel all over the ship were less than enthusiastic and often appeared in "robot" mode.
The biggest complaint on this cruise was the food! We purchased the Ultimate Dining package which afforded you to eat in any of their premium restaurants every night. LaCucina yuck yuck ! My pasta arrived and the entire plate of pasta could be picked up with a fork and required a knife to break it up.
Small and rocks constantly. There are only two these cabins on the aft so if you want aft without paying the $ these are for you. You will hear some commotion above your room as the there is an open deck above you. This did not bother us! You are also right next to a supply room for stewards so there was always some type of bag, cart or laundry outside our room. But the hall was wide outside the room and things were never there very long.
