This was our first cruise and exceeded all expectations, my husband and I, our 11 year old son and my mother who is disabled and uses a wheelchair full time.

Our cabin was a balcony fantastica grade which although compact had all facilities and ample storage space for 3, my son actually used the sofa and was perfectly comfortable ( not a sofa bed - as we had opted for this type of room to be next door to mum and the disabled cabin which was extremely spacious, approx 1.5 times the width of the standard cabin, perfect for the wheelchair to maneuver, the bathroom was also a level floor wet room and there was a ramp out to the balcony so mum was able to be totally self sufficient, much thought had gone into the design with low level shelving / clothes rail etc.

One benefit of the fantastica package was the option to order breakfast in the cabin, and this was an invaluable service particularly for my mother, but also enjoyed greatly by our son who preferred to take time getting up and also the breakfast in the main buffet could be rather busy at peak times ie prior to disembarkation for the day trips.

Cabin 10

Our cabin was a balcony fantastica grade which although compact had all facilities and ample storage space for 3, my son actually used the sofa and was perfectly comfortable ( not a sofa bed - as we had opted for this type of room to be next door to mum and the disabled cabin which was extremely spacious, approx 1.5 times the width of the standard cabin, perfect for the wheelchair to maneuver, the bathroom was also a level floor wet room with well positioned grab rails and a sturdy pull out shower seat. There was a ramp out to the balcony so mum was able to be totally self sufficient, much thought had gone into the design with low level shelving / clothes rail etc. There was also a connecting porthole style door which could be opened to step through between the 2 balconies!
