My wife and I just finished our first NCL cruise. We were on the getaway and found it outstanding. Seas were a little choppy at times, but that is cruising. We had an aft cabin #12294 with balcony. We found it to be very comfortable for the 2 of us. Balcony was small as others have stated but fine. We really liked the the large bathroom.
We never ate in specialty restaurants. We enjoyed all our meals at the many options we had. O'sheehan's was a favorite. We enjoyed watching all the activities in the atrium while we ate. Savor and Taste provided very good service and food. Garden Café was what you would expect from any café trying to serve 4,000 people. Flamingo café was a great spot in the morning. It was more of an open air area to eat breakfast at.
as for entertainment, there is something on this ship for everyone. We are in our late 50's and found the late afternoon pool area very entertainment with the DJ doing latin music. Young adults having much fun and enjoying there cruise. We went to Burn the Floor, Legally Blonde and the Illusionaium. All were outstanding, don't miss the Illusionaium show. The late evening parties on deck 16 H2O were great.
Cabin was very nice and we felt comfortable the entire trip
