We are first time cruisers and retirees. Embarkation was a breeze and the terminal was beautiful, all glass, so not ugly if we did have to wait (which we didn't.) Lines moved rapidly and there were plenty of staff beckoning us on and smiling. Very friendly. Once on board we raced up the elevator to the windjammer cafe and had a sumptuous meal--we got into a routine: breakfast delivered to the room, leisurely windjammer lunch whenever we felt like it, and My Time dining more or less when we felt like it in the main dining room.

The windjammer was not crowded and every day they had different food. I ate a lot of salads and fruits along with making little sandwiches for myself. There was a huge amount of Italian food which we didn't care for but there was also sea food and all sorts of other things----tuna salad, potato salad, Indian food, Chinese food, sandwich fixin's, loads of desserts, coffee, lemonade.

We did not buy any drink package as we do not like soda and we don't drink much alcohol.

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom

Cabin Q

Gem of a room. No complaints whatsoever. No, the room was not huge but it's a SHIP, not a hotel so it was fine. Really comfortable king sized bed, loads of drawer and cabinet space plus a large closet. Bathroom was big enough and the shower, contrary to other opinions, was great. The shower is a cylinder with curved glass doors. The room was spotless, the bedding was high quality, and our every need was attended to. The center of the ship is the "new" section and being down on a lower deck you don't feel any rocking. For average sized people, this room is great. For large people, no. Large people need to pay more and get a large room.
