We had a great time on our four-night Vision of the Seas cruise 10/23/14. The ship may not have all the amenities of the larger modern ships, but there is still enough to keep you entertained for four days. Here is my summary of the cruise.

We decided on this cruise to fit our 17yr-old son's school vacation schedule so he only missed one day of school. He had never been on a cruise, and we wanted to start the celebration of his senior year of high school and have a family trip before he gets busy with college. My wife and I are in our 30's & 40's.

Weather - This was a big concern for our cruise. A late season tropical storm that was predicted to become a hurricane was brewing in the Western Gulf and forecasted to move directly toward Florida, essentially the path of our entire cruise. Lesson learned - weather moves and so do cruise ships. The captain did a great job moving the ship for the best weather. I was sure we would be stuck inside most of the cruise, but I would estimate we had only two hours of rain the whole four days and good partial sun on the sea days.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

Our room was 7074 balcony category D1. We liked the location. It was just off the main atrium, but we were never bothered by any noise or music outside the room. We had the two twin beds made into a large bed for us and the couch was made into a twin sized bed for the teen. Our cabin steward did a great job and always greeted us a smile.
