After numerous visits to Cuba in both hotel and private accommodation, taking a cruise has brought my Cuban experience to a completely new level. The ship is very well maintained and overall service, in my experience, was very good. The room service was exceptionally good, on par with five-star hotel. To my surprise, the room service was actually done twice a day, and staff was very prompt and courteous.

Dining was a step up to standard Cuban hotel experience (e.g. Varadero)in terms of food selection, presentation as well as service. Overall quality ranges from OK/good to excellent. Several dishes at a la cart restaurant were a true gourmet experience. Buffet restaurant is convenient, with reasonable selection.

Special event (a midnight Greek buffet) was excellent, with genuine Greek dishes (and I visited Greece many times) and wines. The desserts were delicious.

Cabin Review

The cabin (XF, deluxe outside cabin) is spacious, with seating area, TV (only a couple of channels), bar fridge and lots of storage space. Clean and in good shape. Large window.
