was on the breakaway last week for a New Years cruise. It is a lovely ship, however, it is not an appropriate ship for a winter cruise leaving from New York. The ship is designed for lots of outdoor activities. They have water slides which are incredible. There is a ropes course. Ignore the claim of a bungee trampoline, it is only for kids.

The reason I say it should not leave from New York in the winter is that there is no indoor pool or one with a retractable roof. Of the seven days I was able to go in the pool once. They claim to heat it but the water was freezing except for the day we were in Nassau. I purchased the spa for 200 for the week, but it is not well maintained. The ship is large, but the space is not used well. Most of the activities we participated in took place in the small atrium area, with few seats, while the large showroom was empty.

The food was good. The buffet was ok but very often they closed one side too soon which made the other side packed. The best free dining was the Manhattan room. The staff was wonderful as was their private island.

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

The room was nice but I don't know how they can call it a mini suite. The only thing that was larger was the bathroom which had an amazing shower with multiple heads. Balcony was tiny
