This was our second time on the Summit and third on Celebrity. On this cruise, we were with our entire family group of 13, whereas in the past we were just on our own as a couple. While we had a great time overall, there were definitely areas that this cruise was really lacking and substandard to our previous Celebrity cruises.
First the good: We had a veranda cabin, as did one other family member, and the rest of our group had outside cabins on Deck 2. All the cabin staff were terrific and did a great job knowing who we all were, and could help us know which of the others were around. We were a bit surprised that we only saw towel animals on 2 evenings, and pillow treats on only one. This seems like a low cost area to have cut back on. We did see some wear and mildew in the room, and had trouble with the veranda door, but overall, the cabins were fine.
The staff at the main desk was helpful the two times we needed to visit there.
Cabin was nice, larger than average deck due to position on ship.
