Traveled with children

We are a family of four (kids ages are 6 and 1.5), have been on five prior cruises (Princess, Disney Fantasy and Royal Caribbean). This was our first Norwegian Cruise and my husband and I concur that we will not be sailing Norwegian again.

Major Issues:

- customer service: every perspective was abysmal. All the wait staff seemed unhappy, overworked and disinterested. None of the smiles and welcoming service that you receive on other cruise lines. Guest services was also deplorable. My husband purchased their 'romance package' since we were celebrating our anniversary. He paid $270 and the only thing they managed to get right were the flowers delivered to our room. The package included spa massage (but the spa was fully booked except for one 8am apt on one of the days - not doable with kids!) dinner at Le Bistro, their French specialty restaurant which was also completely booked for the entire cruise. We had the non-alcoholic package but still received wine in our stateroom and never got the canapes that were supposed to be delivered to our stateroom. It took four phone calls and four trips to guest relations, as well as me personally taking the wine bottle back to guest relations to get them to switch it for non-alcoholic and get them to talk to the restaurant manager to secure our reservation at Le Bistro. My husband meant well but this whole experience was anything but romantic.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony

Cabin B2

The room is tiny, NOT FOR FAMILIES WITH LITTLE CHILDREN!! There is no room to move once the crib is set up. The location is good because you can walk up to the pool, buffet restaurants and kids club and not have to wait on the elevators (which are always full!)
