This was our second sailing with Celebrity. We had never cruised over Christmas and thought it might be a new fun way to celebrate the holidays- stress free. We did enjoy our week but if you are thinking of sailing the high seas over a major holiday remember the KIDS will be everywhere. Our last time on Celebrity there were maybe 8 kids on the entire ship. This time we heard there were 700! It felt slightly like children had overtaken the ship and were running amuck. It did not ruin our cruise but it did seem to spread the crew thin and frazzled most guests. The lobby was very festive for Christmas but I would have loved to see one crèche as they did have a menorah. The beautiful lobby common areas were draped in garland with lights and they had a huge gingerbread collection. The Christmas show was just perfect and my favorite of any Celebrity show I have ever seen. The talented and beautiful Claire Vinkesteijn made all of it possible. We had the best massage of our entire lives from Karen. This was our first time experiencing Aqua Class. WOW. BLU is worth Aqua all on its own. yes there is a cool shower head and yes since only two per cabin for aqua class we had peace and quiet near our cabin but BLU was just amazing. The service impeccable. We also loved the foot stool on the balcony and spent many hours enjoying the sea.

Cabin Review

AquaClass 2

Cabin A2

There is so much storage space however some of it is hard to reach as it is above the bed. I loved that this cabin had zero noise form above us I think it is a meditation type room in the spa above us. The access to the Persian Garden and the relaxation room is AWESOME! You enter by a "secret" door near your cabin and that way if you are getting a treatment or enjoying the facilities you can sneak around in your bathrobe. The towel seemed nicer as did the bathrobes. There were binoculars which were not that great and two umbrellas. The afternoon food was sub par and we didn't care for the daily tea nor the free Champaign that awaited us as we do not consume alcohol. The shower head was cool and massaged your entire body with side jets or the huge rain shower over head. It was very Quite and relaxing. It is very near the elevator so there is noise form that at busy times. We loved being close the stairs so we could move about the ship easily. You do feel the motion more the higher up you go (it is deck 11) and because it is further up on the ship but we ENJOY that motion. There was a slight obstruction of a white stair casing that is used by no one ever but for emergency or to perhaps clean? It is at the top of the balcony.
