This was our first cruise, ever! What an amazing experience it was! We're hooked. River cruising is a fabulous way to travel. With only 190 or so fellow travelers on board, it is intimate and not overwhelming. You have lots of opportunities to meet people from around the world, and even some quite close to home.
From the moment we boarded the ship in Amsterdam until the morning we (sadly) left for home, everything was more than we ever expected. The ship was beautiful and extremely well maintained. The all-English-speaking staff was outstanding and treated each of us as though we were family. The shore excursions were well organized and LOADED with history and information. The English-speaking guides were exceptionally knowledgeable and personable. The food on board the ship never ceased to amaze us. The portions were perfect, the choices were unending and the service was top-notch. Our stateroom was immaculate every single day. We couldn't have asked for more. And with a walking track on the top deck, we even managed to get extra exercise and lose a few pounds in the process. And that says nothing about how beautiful the Rhine River is and what a fabulous river to cruise!
We were fortunate to have a top deck Veranda stateroom, and it was excellent! The amenities were top-notch and the housekeeping staff were incredible. Everything exceeded our expectations. The views were great from the veranda, and even the weather cooperated (in October, no less).
