We loved the variety of eateries on the newly designed Sunshine. The JiJi Asian place and Cucina Capitano Italian restaurants in the back, which for lunch convert to free options. Decor and food was great throughout the Lido deck with these two anchored at the back and the options of great pizza (truly) and the burrito bar (terrific for breakfast burritos and they have whole wheat tortillas for people like me that need healthier choices). The speciality coffee kiosk is expanded to be a shake spot with (my favorite) dark chocolate covered strawberries. Sushi place, steak house with lobster too. So the food gets an A+++ as does the design and decor of the food areas.
Also with an A+++ is cruise director Jaime. What a positive force she is and so present everywhere! We also loved JJ - he was so pleasant and helpful, good at striking up conversations and just being friendly overall. No divas on this team, everyone is a hard worker and seems to genuinely care about the guests with no sarcasm, cattiness or put downs like I've seen on other ships. Hailey is also a positive personality and all about the fun and the guests.
Another big plus - the entertainment. The shows were fabulous - so much better than those on our other recent cruises. The Latin show and the last night's Rock show were our favorites - and the Rock show lived up to it's name "Epic." Amazing guitar solo at the beginning and fabulous costumes, great team of dancer/singers, production crew, special effects.
Very nice cabin. Roomy. Great feature to have the tub in the room, made showering much more enjoyable and less messy due to the nice glass doors. Large balcony, however being at the top of the ship, there was no overhang and so all the rain came right onto the balcony, nothing to protect from it up there. There is an annoying rattle coming from the ceiling vent, we could never figure it out. Two outlets on the desk which was a nice surprise. Good "walk in" closet space - lighted and ample for three people.
