This is my fourth cruise on the Norwegian Star and I'm happy to report that Mazatlan is back on the itinerary. One day before the departure of my 2nd cruise on the Star, Norwegian cancelled our port call at Mazatlan due to some act of violence in the general population not related to cruise ship passengers which I thought was a pretty lame excuse.to cancel the port call. So we were given two days in Cabo instead but somebody got ill on the ship and we had to head North to drop them off at Ensenada and ended up losing one of our days at Cabo as well. This time there were no such mishaps to interfere with the cruise

PROS:

Suite passengers are treated extremely well (to get all the perks you must have a full suite rather than a min-suite) , the ship personnel were fantastic, the food was very good.(excluding the buffet). NCL offers the ultimate dining package at extra cost which allows you to eat at all of the speciality restaurants onboard-we took full advantage of this package by eating at the steakhouse several times, the French restaurant, and the Churuscaria and all were excellent. We ate at the MDR one night which was also quite good.

Cabin Review

Family Suite

A good value for all of the perks (own dining room for B & L), priority embarcation and debarcation)
