This was our first cruise with Azamara. Most of our cruises have been with Crystal and Celebrity. We are a couple in our late 30s and really enjoy a more subdued, upscale environment. I was a little worried having booked this cruise, as the photos of the ship online make the decor look very dated and old-fashioned. I was also concerned about being on a much smaller ship than we are used to. However, I needn't have worried on either count as the ship was fabulous.

As soon as we embarked, I saw how the "classic" decor of this ship really works and created a cozy, high-end environment. The ship, while older, has obviously been well-maintained and we saw very few areas that need updating (most notably, the hallways and soft-goods in the rooms should be updated). We found the ship very easy to navigate, quick to get from one area to the next and very comfortable.

The Azamara service doesn't disappoint (except by the rude girls at Guest Relations), as staff members are readily available to assist with whatever your needs might be. We really appreciated never having to wait for a drink, as servers are constantly checking on guests. This is a BIG change from Celebrity, where it is next-to-impossible to get a drink server's attention. Crew were generally very friendly and available. The officers are very visible as well.

Club Continent Suite

Cabin N1

Great room! Very spacious and well-laid out. Great furnishings, big balcony and large bathroom. Just be sure to get one that is not under the buffet like ours was.
