My husband and I recently returned from our Christmas Cruise (12/14/14 to 12/21/14) on the Carnival Valor. We had a suite, which was suppose to include priority embarkation and dismbarkation (which is why we paid for a suite as opposed to a balcony room). After flying from Las Vegas to Ft. Lauderdale and Ft. Lauderdale to San Juan, and taking the Carnival Bus to the Terminal, we made our way through the outside maze upstairs to check in. We asked a few people where priority boarding was and were told to get in this line and that line. After talking to several different people, we were finally able to get to priority embarkation.

The Valor is an older ship. The decor was dated; however, very patriotic, which we enjoyed. Our stateroom - on the Empress Deck - was very clean.

The food on the Lido Deck was the absolute worst food I have ever had on a cruise (this was my 6th). It seemed that the bar personnel, pushing drinks, were everywhere. We were approached by no less than 5 within the first 15 minutes of being on the ship. This push of liquor continued the entire cruise - including throughout the dining room during breakfast and dinner.
