This was my 4th Princess Cruise but first time too Alaska. A balcony cabin is a must on an Alaskan Cruise. The temps in Alaska are quite cold in the July so bundle up. If you don't have a balcony you get a reserved seat on deck and a blanket. The deck is one cold and windy place on the ship. The problem with the itinerary is that when you are not on land, there is a lack of activities. Pools too cold and even when you have to change decks and have to cross the pool area for buffet it is mighty windy and cold. I had a Handicap outside cabin with balcony and it was wonderful. Very accessible for myself in a wheelchair. The ship is beautiful, no signs of wear so must have been renovated since some of the reviews. This is my 10th cruise.
My Handicap-accessible cabin with balcony was wonderful! Fine linens on the bed. Bathroom very spacious and able to maneuver a wheelchair with no problem and roll in shower. Very comfortable cabin, very clean.
