We are not experienced cruisers...this was only our second. We originally booked a balcony cabin on the MSC Divina but then paid to upgrade to the Yacht Club. While our Yacht Club accommodations and services were a high point of the cruise, we spent a great deal of time exploring the entire ship.
First, let me say that the Divina is a gorgeous ship and is kept in impeccable condition. We were very impressed with the little details like the nooks and crannies with artwork. While I would agree that circulation through the ship did become somewhat cramped at times, I can only imagine that the point of the designer was to require passengers to pass through the various spaces and nightclubs as they traversed the length of the ship. Truly, my only complaint with regard to design is that some of the passageways between venues were narrow and appeared to be difficult for passengers on scooters to pass through with other people.
We enjoyed the evening shows in the beautiful Pantheon theater and quickly learned to arrive early so that we could sit on the front row of the cross aisle so that I could stretch my legs. The shows were beautiful and entertaining. One of our favorites was the afternoon "mini-opera." If you are not an opera fan, I would suggest that you give this a try as it is short yet quite beautiful. We also enjoyed some of the music in the bars and took part in the "wine-blending" activity which was offered for a fee. My wife and I were on board to relax and enjoy time away from home, so we did not partake in many of the planned activities. The entertainment staff seemed to be very upbeat and friendly, however. The entire staff was friendly!
Beautifully decorated and well laid out. We wanted for nothing. Our suitcases fit under the bed, out of sight. The bed was incredibly comfortable.
