We've been on several cruises prior and have been on Royal Caribbean before as well. The ship was nice. Smaller and not as fancy as the newer ships but was enough with a 5 year old and 1 year old.

Food--breakfast was always the same stuff. Lots of choices. Bacon wasn't as crispy as I prefer. Thought the syrup for the pancake/waffle tasted different. Made an omelette one day and would not go back for another omelette--it was terrible. Not sure how you mess up an omelette but this chef did. Partially the ham was super salty and it wasn't spread around the omelette, it was all chunked up. Then the ham station, ALWAYS had to wait and even ask for ham to be cut. You could be standing there for 10 minutes and neither chefs who are making the omelettes look and care to cut you some ham until you ask for assistance. Lunch was okay. Always had choices. Park cafe was open most of the time for snacks and the food was good. Liked how there was a beverage machine available at all times. It was nice to have access to milk as well (without needing to ask for it). Dinner in the main dining room was okay. I've had better on other cruise liners. If i had to choose one bad thing about the cruise, it would be the food. The appetizers for the most part were good. The entrees needed help. Fish was always over cooked. The only good meal was the lobster and steak. There were couple of nights that the entree was so bad that I had to order something else. Very disappointing. Waiters, on the other hand were great (mostly). We had anytime dining. The first night was bad. The servers were slow and just poor service. Then we had Ramon and Gabriel and we LOVED them but unfortunately couldn't get them back the other nights. Then we had Nareen and Shaheez who were great as well. We were a bit disappointed the first night with them because we had requested for Ramon and Gabriel but when we were assigned to another table, we were unhappy but Nareen and Shaheez tried to cheer us up and then we had them for the rest of our cruise and they were excellent. They were very attentive to the kids at our table and remembered what to bring for us every night.

Entertainment--very disappointing. There were several nights where there was only one showing of the evening entertainment. If you attended the show, you would either need a very early dinner or late dinner. The dining room wasn't very accommodating on speeding things along so you can catch the show. Also disappointed in the show choices. Only 2 production shows on a 7 night cruise. Production shows are nothing compared to the Disney Cruises.

Cabin Review

Large Interior Stateroom

We had the large interior on deck 4 and it was very convenient to go to the atrium and to the main dining rooms. As far as space inside the room, there was a good amount. There was even a small couch. The only bad part was i felt there could be more drawer space. Bathroom had some small units for toiletries. Our room attendant was very good. Room was always cleaned and towels replaced when needed. There was no mini fridge but because we needed to have milk overnight, I asked for an ice bucket the first night and our room attendant always replenished the bucket with ice.
