First time my husband and I were on Carnival since 1990 something! We did a balcony deck 6, room was perfect! We did a Faster to the Fun package and checked in and left our stuff in the room and then spent the day in San Juan! The staff and crew from the first check in and throughout the cruise were fantastic! Found everything to be well organized and found the ship itself to be easy to navigate. Plenty of options for everyone. Ship had maintenance being done and there were places that were a bit dated but everything was clean and easy to navigate around! We did dinners (anytime dining) in the dining room and the rest of the meals in port or at the buffet. In the mornings we had room service deliver coffee, bagels and fruit every morning.

This trip covered Barbados, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Maarten and St. Thomas with only one day at sea. Found that some of the excursions were very similar on St. Kitts and St. Lucia so get one of the excursion books from the desk and plan ahead! Our favorite was St. Maarten, we did both sides of the island in one tour! We also listened in to some of the shopping talks and got the coupon book, had a blast collecting spices and charms and other little doo-dads. Learned a ton about each area and what to look for, also what not to buy due to customs and agriculture rules.

In the evenings, we would do dinner, the shows and even spent some time in the casino. Shows were all enjoyable. We participated in some of the games and even won the Scavenger Hunt for ducks! I feel like this cruise really had something for everyone and plenty to do and see! Read more
