We came into this cruise with very low expectations and only booked it due to a really great promotion that was cheaper than eating out at home.. Have to preface this with saying we cruised Alaska on the Miracle in June that was a total disaster and were not going to ever cruise Carnival again...

But we have to admit the Freedom is a class above the Miracle in every way. The Ship is recently rennovated with the so called 2.0 conversion, the staff was extremely courteous and welcoming, and we enjoyed most every aspect of the cruise. Gotta love it when a ship is refurbished and looking new again.

And they got some things right this time with the burger bar, sports bar and even the fish and chips bar upstairs from the buffet. We enjoyed the steak house on nite one with a free wine promotion and was Not disappointed with the service and the food..outstanding fillet mignon and sea bass and escargot appetizer and desserrt.. waitress had a real interest in our experience and we loved her. Formal nites in dining room were wonderful, both lobster tails.. and the service. Our room stewards were great at having our needs met without ever being in our way.. always a bucket if ice available.. which we loved with our private happy hr every nite..
