Just arrived him from an eleven night cruise on the Carnival Legend. We have cruised before and, as my wife is a travel agent, knew what to expect this time.

Carnival is not the luxury end of the cruising market but they do not pretend to be. If you hark for elegantly dressed travel companions, canapés with your free drinks, hatted chefs, subtle decor, soft background music and no one under 30 years of age, this cruise is not for you.

We had prepared for a casual experience and, although there were still some disappointments, overall we were able to relax and have come home reasonably satisfied.

Nice cabin at mid ships. Port side meant that we sailed past the Opera House and City on the way in. Nice way to come home.Being just below the buffet on deck 9, it can get a little noising at night when furniture is being moved for cleaning, but this is offset by the benefit of being close to deck 9 during the day.
