Despite the not-so-great weather we endured, the Breakaway is fabulous! Trip consisted of myself, my husband, and our two kids, ages 5 and 9.

Embarkation: Easy and quick. Dropped off at the pier at 10:30. No lines for check-in. We were group 11. They started boarding the ship around 11:40.

Dining: Great food, always hot at the buffet. Breakfast items were the same every day but there was a vast variety. Uptown Grill for huge custom burgers at lunch was the best, worth the line. We ate at O'Sheehans several times and the food was great and service was fast. The chicken pot pie and fish and chips are awesome! There wasn't any grilled cheese on the kids menu but they made it for us anyway each time. We had one dinner at Cagneys. Wonderful service and outstanding food. The filet mignon was like butter! I commend the staff for getting my kids' meals out quickly and for making customized ice cream sundaes for them. Also the Sabretts hot dogs at the pool can't be beat! We never made it to the MDR at all, since the kids always wanted to eat at O'Sheehans.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

The room was a decent size for the four of us. We camp in a tow-trailer so we are no strangers to tight quarters. The shower was wonderful and adjustable to my short 5-year old. The bathroom stank a tiny bit and I'm not sure if it was the soap or the sewage, but air freshener worked well here. I had no problem with storage but I do prefer drawers over closet shelves. We had an angled balcony which was plenty of space. The beds were heavenly! We brought a power strip and an extension cord for all our electronics, too. The fourth bed drops from the ceiling above the sofa bed. Our steward pushed it half-way back up every day so we would be able to use the sofa during the day.
