Ok I got your attention. First of all, no matter what cruise you are going on out of in Miami, at the airport it is like 50 steps from baggage claim to the taxi stand, for a $24 taxi ride(+tip) to the cruise port. Maybe 20 min ride at max. DON'T pay cruise line prices for a transfer! LOT's cabs.
Check in was very quick, less than 10 min, except for the fill out the form that says you weren't sick, yeah right, I just dropped several grand and I am going to tell you I'm sick. Walked on board, room wasn't ready, no Mimosas, no pictures(a good thing), find your way around. Not a good first impression. Met some friends at the Waves. Waited 3 hours to get to our cabin. They are well appointed but smallish, with tub and shower. Actually you can take a shower in the tub too. Bath was darkish, but bed was excellent. Very small storage space, TV was very limited and with prime NFL season, no football!
Sail away, and the waiter brought watered down, melted drinks and ask if we wanted one. Not very many people on deck and we said sure, then "can I have your key card", just dropped $24. on drinks, I thought they were free. Let's talk about drinks, beer $5.50+18% tip, mixed drinks $10-$12+18%, don't even talk about overpriced wine. We did bring 3 bottles on board. With 8 of us, within 24 hours we said we would never go on Oceania again. Went to the main dining room, hope you are not in a hurry, it takes a good 2 hours for a meal. At the table we had at the back of the dining room, major vibration from the prop/engines. Never had that before. Overall passengers were over 70, lot's of walkers and scooters.
Very nice, but smallish. Drawers were small, but bath was nice with a shower and a bathtub which you could take a shower in too. Bath was a little darkish. Although we brought too much stuff, kind of hard to get to the closest. Nice to have a laundry on board.
