Let me start by saying that our entire family is loyal to Carnival. But our recent cruise on the Victory was not the Gold standard that Carnival usually delivers. The entire cruise was not good from the errors in charging my account for the full price of the cruise, the rude sales people that I spoke with about the accounting issues, all the way to leaving the ship the last day, nothing was as usual for Carnival. I did the early price guarantee. There was to be an on board credit placed on my account. Even after calling 3-4 times, I had to get onboard and have guest services send a request for the credit. We finally got it on the last day of the cruise. Good thing I wasn’t counting on it being there to book excursions. Very poor customer service!!!

The lines to get on the ship in Miami were horrendous. Although there were 30 or more agent terminals, only one half were staffed at the time we were boarding. Finally more staff came. Our balcony room was very disappointing. There was black mold in the shower. I have pictures. There was so much dust on the TV that I wrote “Dust Me” on the screen. The curtain in our room had so many holes in it that at night it looked like stars in the sky with the light shining through it. Our balcony was gross dirty. There was hair hanging on the dividers and hair in the rails. The deck was dirty. They did do a deck “cleaning” while we were on ship. The only difference we saw was a wet deck. There was still debris on the balcony.

Food service in the dining room was terrible. The second night on board we were seated between 6:15-6:30 for dinner. We do understand this is not fast food. But at 7:45 we still did not have dessert. We had to leave dinner to catch the 7:45 show. Sunday night we were seated at 6:00. It was 7:58 when we finally got dessert and were able to leave to try to enjoy the onboard entertainment. The next morning it took us nearly 2 hours to get off the boat. Not a good experience. The room service was the best part of the cruise. But we were very disappointed that breakfast was not available for room service. That is the one meal of the day that most people enjoy having in their rooms. I REALLLLLY do not understand why this cruise on this ship was so bad. It is causing our family to rethink the bookings that we are going to do in March for our Alaskan Cruise on Carnival. Can you please address these concerns?
