This was our third cruise on a Holland America ship. The Westerdam did not meet our expectations based on past experiences. The food was mediocre in the main dining room, the service was slow, meals were often mixed up or wrong ones were brought.

The selections up in the Lido did not give enough choices and some that were supposed to be available were often not ready when meal time arrived.

The ship was however quite clean and decorated nicely for Christmas. The front desk staff were very polite and helpful. Read more
