this was the second carnival cruise i have been on. the first one was many many years ago. i have to say over all, my cruise experience was quite good. i would definitely try another carnival cruise again. for what we paid for our cruise, we certainly feel that we got our money's worth.

upon embarkation, it was very busy, with a lot of passengers arriving to board but it was done very efficiently and the lines moved at a very good pace. we were on the ship in no time and exploring it all. got our cabins and luggage arrived very shortly after. we had an ocean view cabin which in my opinion was a very good size. plenty of room for ourselves and our belongings. the cabin stewards were great. we really never saw them but every time we returned from our rooms, it was evident that they were cleaned and towels replaced. i have no complaints at all about my cabin or the service we received there.

the decor was fine. i have seen others complain about the colors and the lights etc, it was very acceptable to us. the colors and the decor were in my opinion, what one would expect on a cruise ship. very glitzy, kind of vegas style with all the lights and patterned carpeting. it was ok with us. the meals were very good, plenty to choose from and there is no way you could go hungry. the service in the dining rooms was excellent. the taste and flavors of the food were for the most part good. sometimes i could see where there may be room for improvement, especially in the buffet area. all in all, i would have to say that this particular cruise was acceptable for the average traveller. if you have travelled extensively and are used to very high end dining and accommodations and world class entertainment, then this may not be the ship for you. the entertainment was good but not las vegas caliber. like i stated earlier, for what we paid this was a very good value holiday. of course there were a lot of people, but it didn't seem too bad. the lines for the buffet moved at a pretty good pace and the service and amounts of food were always good and being replenished.
