Sail Date: Dec 2014

This was our second cruise on the Serenade in 2014, our first being in February. We chose the cruise for the port of embarkation and the ports. Serenade is a nice ship, spotlessly clean indoors, and a friendly staff. We recognized many faces from our ship from 10 months before- cruise director, activity director, restaurant staff, and that felt nice. Our room attendant, Rocky, was outstanding. We had a good time (we went with 3 other couples) and the food was very good. The only complaint was, it was same old, same old. Same entertainment, shows, menus, activities. In fact, some things were not as good as in February- no poolside cook out, no 9:00 shows every night. Last year we went on 2 cruises on the Explorer, 3 months apart, and didn't feel like it was all a repeat. In truth, I prefer the amenities of a larger ship with a Promenade. (We were parked next to the Oasis and I can't wait to go on that one day.) We did have that same room as before, which has a larger than average balcony, which was wonderful. The ports were fine. Jamaica was wonderful, went on beach excursion and it was perfection. Enjoyed Cayman's and Cozumel was interesting. If I were to plan 3 favorite place to go in one week in the future, it would be Key West, Jamaica and Cayman's.
