We have done a couple of other cruises with Thomson before and was wondering what to expect with Cunard. The Queen Mary 2 was the friendliest ship we have ever sailed on. We got to Southampton an hour and a half before out allocated time and was allowed straight aboard. Our cases where already waiting at our cabin. The staff on the ship could not do enough for you and were so friendly. The food and service was amazing. We ate in the Britannia restaurant every night and were lucky enough to have a table for two on the balcony. It was lovely to her the harpist or string quartet. The staff in Samuels bar were great fun and were very entertaining. It was great to have a live band in the nightclub. The ship was so relaxing loved the Pavilion pool . The Bay of Biscay was rough but the ship coped so well so glad we were on an ocean liner. When we booked this trip we were worried that there may be a lot of snobbery. To our delight we have never met so many lovely passengers. Afternoon tea was delightful. At last we have found someone who knows how to make tea. We went on two trips Heart of The Palma to the National park and Puerto Del Carmen. would recommend both. We really enjoyed all the stops sailing into Lisbon as the sun had just risen was beautiful. The holiday was great value for money. Cunard we are now hooked
The cabin was smaller than others I have been in but did have a lot of cupboard space. The shower was large and the bathroom had lots of space to put in our toiletries.
