Royal Princess Dec 9-19 Eastern Caribbean

This was my 40th cruise first time as Elite on Princess. Embarkation was slow and disorganized. We were given a mini suite as the price dropped on the obstructed balcony I had booked so we were spoiled by the space. Loved having a larger bathroom, 2 TVs and a couch, large desk area plus a chair and table. We were forward between the front elevators and middle so we could use the forward stairs or elevators which were less crowded. The buffet on the first day was crowded but well laid out. I found the buffet lunches to be very good. We had Anytime dining which was a mess the first 2 days but got better after that with no waiting for a table for 2. Dinners were okay, service varied. Alfredo's was very good for lunch but underutilized and a waste of space. We tried the Crab Shack which was fun and Crown Grill which we enjoyed. Crooners was crowded for Happy Hour 3-4 each day, we did Afternoon Tea once which is held in the dining room. This was an older crowd and few children onboard. Internet was slow. We had a Meet and Greet which a CC member arranged, we were lucky to have the CD and Captain as well as other officers attend. That was very special.

Coffee cards now include Gelato. The pools were okay but crowded with lots of seat savers. Towels were plentiful at the pool. Entertainment was lacking, I find Princess somewhat boring. The library is small and people complained about that and the fact it is never open when the Patters state. The Atrium is beautiful as is the rest of the ship, especially the dining rooms.

Loved having a mini suite, good location a bit forward but quiet. Large bathroom, 2 TVs big sofa and desk. Plenty of room and storage.
