Sail Date: Nov 2014
Cabin: Mini-Suite with Large Balcony

My husband and I have cruised on several NCL ships and are now Platinum latitudes customers for the first time.

This cruise went out of New York on November 30th with stops in Florida and two in the Bahamas. We flew into New York a day early to do some sightseeing.

Embarkation was just fine. We arrived at the port at around 10 AM and were given #1 boarding cards so we were on the ship by 11:30 right after the special passengers and the Haven guests. We headed up to the buffet and easily found a table since it had not yet gotten crowded. The buffet area was well laid out with different colour schemes on either side of the ship. The food was typical and there was a lot to choose from.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Large Balcony

Cabin M6

Our cabin was a mini-suite with an extended balcony on deck 8. Knowing how small the balconies are on the Getaway (and this ship) I planned for a cabin with a larger balcony. This one was great. Being near the front of the ship you did not have the lifeboats blocking your view of the water and the balcony had two loungers and two chairs along with a LARGE table. The only downside would be the privacy since people on the balconies above can look down and see about 75% of your balcony.
