My wife and I recently completed or first river cruise and ver much enjoyed Portugal. We had previously been on two ocean cruises with Carnival and found the experience to be overwhelming due to the size of the ship and the continuous lines for everything because of the large number of guests.
The river cruise was more to our preferences for number of guests, size of ship, quality of the included excursions, food quality and options. I also prefer to have everything included in the price at the time of booking.
We are fit couple that walk regularly and recently retired.

Compact with a french balcony that provide excellent light and fresh air. A very good vantage point during a couple of afternoon cruises.
