Our cruise to the Western Caribbean was great; the ships crew friendly and plentiful; the $35 steak restaurant Superb!

Unfortunately "The Splendor" is a gaudy rabbit-warren of dead-ends (try finding either of the Pearl restaurants), and dead-space (i.e. The Rotisserie). Carnival is obviously aware of it's rabbit-warren, if you arrive at the wrong entrance to the Black Pearl Restaurant, the sign not only asks you to enter by the other entrance but gives DIRECTIONS on how to get there. If you want some space to eat your breakfast or lunch just go to the Rotisserie, very few passengers know of it's existence and you have a dinning room all to yourself.

The cruise was great value, the cabin size was good -- but the ship is just badly designed with childish, unsophisticated decor.
