Of the 28 cruises we have taken during our life, our cruise on Carnival Legend’s-23-Day Cruise August 30, 2014 to September 22, 2014 is the most horrible cruise ever. Specifically the Carnival Sales Rep mislead or lied about selling us an unobstructed balcony view knowing that the balcony view is obstructed. Apparently this bait and switch tactic worked before as Guest Cruise Service's Manager would not meet with us. While making our reservation with the Carnival Sales Rep, we were consistently informed that our conversation was being recorded. However, when we requested that our recorded conversation be reviewed in order to show how their Rep lied about the balcony, we were informed by the Guest Care Specialist that not all conversations are recorded. Carnival’s evasive remarks did not surprise us. Specially, stating “they were not able to pull up the recording of the conversation as some recordings are randomly selected”. Also “we do state on the recordings that for monitoring purposes this conversation may be recorded. Further, “our recording does not state that we record all conversations in every call”.

Also, dinner doors were never opened on time. Accordingly, this resulted in a large mob assembling outside the locked doors resulting in short tempers, line cutting & shoving, etc. Further, steaks and fish food were not fresh and lousy (fish had a smell indicating they were old or laid out of the cold storage for a long period of time). Additionally, the dining room dress code (stating no shorts, T-Shirt, cut off deans, flip-flops, bathing suit attire, sleeveless shirts for men, sportswear and hats) was not enforced.
