We had planned to visit New Orleans in 2006, but Katrina destroyed the time share we booked and the time was replaced giving us another opportunity in 2007. We went 9 days pre-cruise, 7 days in the time share and two days at the Holiday Inn off of Royal Street. The Holiday Inn was a great location, we were in walking distance to the whole French Quarter and were close to the trollies giving us easy access to the World War 11 museum, confederate museum, Imax, River walk and the Aquarium.

We also enjoyed alot of great food at the Red Fish Grill(a Brennen restaurant), Acme Oyster Company, Johnny's Poor Boys, and one of our favorite experiences The New Orlean's Cooking School off of Lewis St. Kevin was the instructor who prepared the food with stories sprinkled with Cajun humor.

The people of New Orleans have been through alot but the city is coming alive again, the people make you feel really welcome.
