This was my first cruise so I had nothing with which to compare the Eurodam. But these are my impressions. The food was of excellent quality with generally a fairly wide variety of options, however, I did find the fruit options a bit limited. The stateroom we had was lovely and well appointed. The balcony was large and wonderful and we used it a lot, just to relax and read. The beds and pillows were good and everything worked fine. We were very comfortable in the room. The staff were plating the food, even at the buffet, in an effort to reduce on-board illness. I think this is a great idea and it also reduces food waste as people can't over select (and then throw it out). We had quite rough seas and that made the use of the gym impossible. The sick bay was helpful to my friend who succumbed (fortunately, I did not). The specialty restaurants were good - we tried the Italian restaurant and the Pinnacle. If you are not a huge steak connoisseur or seafood lover, skip the Pinnacle. The service was excellent everywhere except the BBQ on Half Moon Cay which was a culinary disaster The staff were friendly and helpful. The embarkation process was efficient and all the disembarkation processes went smoothly except on the last day when everyone was trying to leave at the same time and the elevators were totally full (we had to slump our suitcases down 6 flights).

The entertainment was only just OK. The singers and dancers were decent but there were obviously young and inexperienced. The violinist and his pianist were top flight....absolutely wonderful. The BB King blues band as fine but they, unfortunately, only have one level of sound - full bore. PWe really enjoyed the Marriage Game and the Dancing with the Stars. The casino seemed to be busy but we did not use it as they allow smoking there (ugh).

Ports of call were fine, but we both felt that we did not get enough time at each location (i.e. it was all a bit rushed).  The HAL organized tours were just OK. We took the Segway tour on Grand Turk and it was fine, except for the 20 minute break during which we were exposed to the political views of the 18 year old leading the trip. Swimming with the stingrays on Half Moon Cay was great value for money - and we had a blast with knowledgeable staff. The tour of the St John's national park was not good at all. We were crowded on an open air bus and stopped six times to take pictures of a beach (there really are only so many beaches you can see before you are exhausted). This trip should be dropped from their options (or changed considerably). Overall it was fine trip. The best thing we did on this ship was to rent a cabana for a day -what a lovely bit of luxury!

We were very comfortable in the room. The only issue we had was that the room cleaners were so efficient that you had to be careful what you placed in the wastepaper basket, as it was gone almost immediately.
