We have just returned from a week in the Eastern Caribbean on the Regal Princess. The ship itself is beautiful -- while some people have complained here about the central atrium not continuing to the top of the ship, we did not consider that an issue at all. The only issue we did have was that the balcony in our mini-suite was considerably smaller than the one we had on our earlier Princess cruise to Alaska -- it would have been too small for more than 2 people.

The ship staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. The dinner we had at the modestly-extra-cost "Sabatini's" restaurant ranked with the best I have had anywhere.

The only beef I have is with some of the excursions. The stopover at "Princess Cay" was a major disappointment -- the island is too small to comfortably handle the number of passengers who disembarked; we were packed together so closely on the small island that it reminded me of Coney Island on the 4th of July -- and while the food in the lunch buffet was very good, the lines were long and slow. Princess Cay may have been fine for the smaller ships of a few decades ago, but I think it has outlived its usefulness.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Mini-suite was roomy and comfortable. No complaints.
