Epic is a nice boat, but there were many "blunders" this time in terms of service. All were promptly remedied but it was noticeably different from what we've experienced on Breakaway (sailed her twice) and the Star. Some examples are a well done dried up filet mignon at Cagney's (was ordered medium) and a dispute over a drink price (sign advertised the drink as $6.50, was charged $8.50). Also, in Cozumel, everyone that needed to Ferry over to Playa Del Carmen for excursions were for some reason not let off the boat before the general populous disembarked. This caused a delay on top of an existing delay and cut into our excursion time. There were easily 100+ people that in my (and others) opinions should have been let off first so the ferry could load and depart quicker for the 1.5 hour journey.

Also, the Hold Em dealers at the casino dont know how to deal and no one follows the same rules. There were a few squabbles, and at one point when the pit boss said "that's the casino rules" a cruiser asked for a copy of the rule book. the pit boss could not produce it as he didnt have it. ??? ALso you must watch blackjack dealers as they sometimes pay out the wrong amounts.

Overall, WATCH YOUR RECEIPTS! You must be vigilant and check all receipts when signing and check them against your onboard account each night.

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Cabin was decent, we didnt have an issue with the infamous "see thru" shower and toilet space pods, but we were a couple traveling alone. If you have a kid with you or a friend/relative other than a spouse, i can see why people hate these.
