I have cruised with Carnival before and had wonderful times so I was excited to share this experience with the first time cruiser traveling with me.
First - the staff on board was excellent. Had a little "hiccup" checking in but it was easily taken care of.
The food - well, let's say that the evening meals were amazing. Breakfast and dinner was a step down from Golden Corral buffets. Rarely was the food hot, presentation was more like a bright lunchroom cafeteria line (not the first tomato rosette to be seen).
My cabin was comfortable and our steward, Iryl was very attentive. The cabin had more storage than I remembered from previous cruises - a big plus. The bathroom was a little outdated. The lighting was very dim. The porcelain on the sink was badly chipped. Great shower head (want one for my house).
