Let me begin with We are Princess Cruisers. First time with Royal Caribbean. Took whole family for 5 day cruise. We usually get to ship by 10:30. Royal Caribbean sent out an email and we were asked to arrive between 1:00-1:30 for deck 7. We had to return a reply so they knew we read it. We did as we were asked. When we got there at 1:00....Shuttle took us to the furtherest section and dropped us off. Then we had to carry our carry on's and make our way through Baggage, Baggage Cages and porters. We almost got run over with the filled carts rolling free or by porters! Then we made it to a line.. We were told, rather nasty, to go to the end of the line.. Where is the end of the line? Around the corner and just keep going. I have NEVER seen so many people. It seemed like 1000 were standing in line and not moving. I felt like we were cattle going to slaghter. People were getting yelled and whistled at by crew telling us to keep going. It was the absolute WORST experience I have ever encountered getting on a ship. I said to my husband.."This is a BAD START". It took us 2 1/2 hours to get to our cabin. We had Muster very quickly after we got on ship. I think they did delay it a bit cause so many people were still in line waiting to get on board.

The Crew.... We are used to being treated very nicely and with a smile. Not on this cruise. We asked questions to crew members and they returned with blank stares an a slight smile?? I figured out most did not speak English. Steward.. Most unfriendly ever encountered. Never really met him. Husband did.. Cabin was clean, we got ice every day as husband asked but just never bothered to be friendly. Never once called us by name. Can't say he did a bad job...he just did not seem interested in us.

Food... Nothing to write home about. Very disappointed. Main dinning room was beautiful and people at front desk were very good and accomadating. Food choices were not exciting. Had a hard time finding something I wanted to eat. Salmon good...Shrimp Cocktail, good.... Just not a very good variety. Read more
