This was our first time on Island Escape and when we first saw her we thought, what have we let ourselves in for? She is not a pretty ship and she is old! But when we boarded and saw how friendly everyone was we started to feel relaxed. When we arrived at our cabin we were surprised at the size, although not large it was plenty big enough and our cabin steward Akash was very friendly and informative, showing us where everything was and telling us to find him if we needed anything at all.

We then went on to explore the ship... where-ever we went everyone welcomed us, not only staff and crew but also fellow travelers, some of whom we are still in contact with.

We had a drink and some lunch on deck in the glorious sunshine, the choice of buffet was quite extensive... hot and cold choices suitable for meat eaters and vegetarians alike.

Cabin OV

Our cabin was although not big, was plenty big enough. Very clean and tidy with plenty of wardrobe space. It had a hairdryer and bathrobes for our comfort. Akash our cabin steward was attentive and friendly, and he made some lovely towel animals.
